itmaStamps has been set up to dispose of stamps collected by my father and myself over a period of close to 100 years. My father was an active collector from the 1930s into the 1960s. He transferred part of his collection to me in 1967 and I expanded upon it over the years since then.
As my age increases, I find that I have no one to whom I can leave the collection. I plan to start by placing individual and groups of stamps on eBay. I may also use other vehicles, such as Hipstamps, later.
The collection has concentrated on Australia (including many varieties from the King George V era), New Zealand and Canada. There is also a smattering of stamps from other countries, mainly Oceania. This web site thus has sections for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and ROW. Each section is divided into two:
And finally, a word about my choice of the name of itmaStamps. For some time, I have been a member of the Stamp Community Forum (www.stampcommunity.org) and other user discussion/help groups for a number of years. My user name of choice is "itma", or if that is not available, "i-t-m-a". This derives from a radio comedy programme on the good old BBC back in the 1940s and stands for the programme's name - It's That Man Again. Now, of course, that phrase can have very different connotations based on the inflection used, but that's OK by me!
Happy collecting, and please enjoy the site, even if you are not buying.
